[Blu-ray] [UK] Rambo 1-4 Box Set (Digipak)

Postby knut » Thu Jun 26, 2008 3:25 pm

Today I received this pretty cool set from the United Kingdom!

I contains
    • First Blood
    • First Blood: Part 2
    • Rambo 3
    • John Rambo
    • 4 Art Cards
    • 1 ad Flyer

The packing says it is Region A/B/C so it should be region free but I can't test it until end of next month..
It' from Sony Pictures / Optimum Home Entertainment / Studio Canal.

Here are some pictures:

Al movies are uncut and contain DTS-HD Master (Rambo 1-3) or True-HD (John Rambo) as well as English subs (and many more).
Extras are the same as on the US Discs (Rambo 1-3) but John Rambo doesn't contain the Deleted Scenes (in comparison to the US release).

I like it :notworthy:

Yeah, that's the one I got a few days ago.  It's nice but I don't like the way you get the digipack out, or the lack of anything down the spine.  Cool though :)

I think First Blood and Rambo (2008) will do me just fine on Blu-ray.

Tempted to pick up the trilogy, but only that: Tempted! :D The cover is pretty cool! There seems to be a lot more extras on the US BDs though.....

Anybody got pics of the US release? Cooey? :D

The US trilogy is simply 3 cases and a slipcase mate, nothing special :)

I think u will find 'Rambo 3' is still cut, a horse fall, that is why the audio commentary is missing off the standard DVD release yet there r commentaries on the others.

Your were right, I wrote about this to the BBFC:

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for your email.

RAMBO III remains cut on video and DVD in the UK. This cut was required to
remove a sequence of animal cruelty (namely, sight of a horse being
deliberately tripped) which is prohibited under The Cinematograph Films
(Animals) Act 1937.

Details are available on our main website - http://www.bbfc.co.uk - by
using the 'search' function. It should be borne in mind that we classify
the content, not the format, of a work. A classification for a work on
video is applicable to its release on DVD or Blu-ray if the work remains
identical.

Yours sincerely,
