My Collection - Aug20th - Parnassus Digipack

Postby Mrs.Robinson » Wed Apr 16, 2008 6:56 pm

After quite a while, I finally got enough time to set up a thread.
Thanks, Carebear & Mr. Bear & the lady with the baby Shrek hat & all the others  ;)  - you've all been an enormous inspiration  ;)

Since my collection is pretty modest and most of my items still dwell in boxes, wa iting to be properly displayed one fine day AND since you've seen most of that stack a hundred times already anyway, I decided to post pics of those items that are dearest to me and those I got recently.

Since I'm seriously lacking some decent photoshooting space & backgorund, the pics look far from ''all that'', but at least you'll be able to see what's on them.  ;)

Welcome, Friend and thanks for visiting!     Don't be a stranger  ;)

So here we go...

In the past week I got these:

Midnight Cowboy 2-disc Collector's Edition R1 US

With the usual souvenir ;)

Then I got this one from Italy - from my BF  :

From Japan: Love Actually Gift Set

And, of course, my souvenir:

Then there was Munich 2-disc Collector's R1 US digi from Axel:

With the souvenir:

And also from Axel - the honestly beautiful Terminal 2DVD+CD R1 US digi

From Germany:

I will add more a little bit later in the evening - have to make a little selection now  ;)

Take care!

btw lately my axel orders have also come with small souvenirs, only those older editions that have been in their stock the longest and mainly with scratches and dents! The big fish keepcase spine is cut with a knife! without the sheet underneath being damaged! So was its specs sheet! while the set was sealed (maybe one of those professional re-sealing Jura was talking about!lol)! I haven't got Munich yet but something tells me that a little souvenir is on it waiting to grab my attention!  :doubt:  :D

How come you kept those dinged boxes?

I would have returned them back.

@Robo - it's Barbara  :D

@Pourya - ''keepcase spine is cut with a knife'' - that's what happens pretty often - the last time being on my Terminal digi. I got quite some nicely sealed DVDs, but when I opened them it seemed as if they were previously used / pre-owned.

:drink:  the country of love  ;)

@Trilogy - yes, if I send the item back, I have to pay for the shipping again. When I got the damged Reservoir Dogs Tin and wrote Axel about it, they told me to send it back for a full refund or keep it and get a 2 euro voucher. They wouldn't replace the tin since it was OOP at that time. Naturally, I took the voucher... There's also one other thing. I got emails from 2 stores saying they don't ship to Slovenia because too many parcels get lost or damaged - if I kept nagging to Amazon and Axel, I'm afraid even they will stop shipping here.

Now for those things I really care about, though they might not seem much...

This is the first cartoon I ever done (translated and adjusted it for dubbing) that got on DVD in my language:

My Hercule Poirot collection (15 discs, they still have to release some) - 2 episodes per disc:

This is what I watch EVERYTIME when I'm sick in bed or something. A must for me.

And our version of the Fawlty Towers series:
Image
Splendid picture quality! 3 episodes per disc.

The Allo Allo series - only discs 14-22 are here:
