Congratulations on 'Address Unknown' and 'Ardor' cause they are really hard to find.    I already knew you had won them on eBay cause I was also following these auctions. :D Have been looking for these 2 DVDs for a long time and really wanted to bid on them so I contacted the seller about shipment to the Netherlands but the #@&*@*& never bothered to answer me.  :realmad: Oh wel, my time will come...

I don't want to see Korean DVDs out of print anymore. :crying:  :crying:  :crying:

I guess I have to stop collecting Korean DVDs, so I don't have to suffer anymore. :ohno:  :(

Here comes that thought again: I wish that I had started to seriously collect Korean DVDs much earlier, probably in 2002. But in that time, all I did was spending my money for stupid Hollywood and splatter movies. Whenever I'm in a situation like this, I want to hit me in the face for the lost years. If I wouldn't have ended my Taekwondo training after four years in 2000, there would've been a possibility that my interest in Korean films could grow. That's the punishment for my unbearable ignorance.

Well, you make that sound rather negative: you have an amazing collection and isn't "hunting" for rarer editions part of the fun?
First of all I'll have to say again that I don't think percentage wise the number of films that I like doesn't differ that much from the States to South Korea.
About those OOP editions: you know that doesn't mean one can't find them. Since I'm not willing to pay the prices they cost (at international e-tailers) I guess I got at least a third of my collection when these editions were already OOP. Just because they are OOP or rare doesn't necessarily always mean they're expensive: that Japanese Taegukgi Premium LE (5Disc), the same seller had on offer, sold for 22€ and the last Oldboy UE (6Disc) on eBay went for the same amount someone on here is asking for the 2Disc SE. (And like Daze can tell you I paid 5.55€+shipping for that Ardor LE.)
And for those that don't want to search for used ones there are always some e-tailers that still stock them, because they ask crazy prices.

btw: didn't know you trained TKD

Somehow I can't see that happen in the near future

fiol wrote:"When Romance Meets Destiny" is really nothing special (the movie). I watched it long time ago and i'm happy i bought the dvd from thailand. It's not worth it.

Well, luckily everybody has his/her own taste and I'm sure there are people who liked it. But in this case I have to agree with you: the movie isn't special. But there are several films on the last pages that are way worse, so I'm surprised you picked out this one.
Obviously it was worth to my what I paid for it ($10+shipping), otherwise I wouldn't have it ...

Thx, Daze! :notworthy: I've made deals with this seller previously... I was also thinking about going for that "A Moment to Remember" edition, but it went for more than I was willing to pay. I've asked ~8 people in the last month who were selling 'Address Unknown', but nobody had this first print slipcase edition. (Is there any release by Atlanta that isn't hard to find? If they only pressed so few copies it's no wonder they went bankrupt )
I'm sure you'll find them one day, so keep looking!

It's a nice edition - a little strange, though, 'cause it looks like 2 slimdigipacks but it's actually just one Digi.
You're right, after it was originally released on 07-10-31 it was quickly OOP and hard to find, however ArtService have made this available again on 08-11-19 for a discounted price and it's in Stock nearly everywhere since then. I'm not sure whether it's a re-release or they just cleared their stock, but in any case it looks absolutely identical to the first print.
You might get confused when looking for it, because there are several english titles for this film: 'Love Now', 'Changing Partners', 'Cross Scandal' etc. The easiest way to get them would be yesasia or dvdheaven. You should hurry up, though, as far as I know the new/re release is OOP again, so it might get OOS soon. (Imo the film ain't that great ...)

I was really happy to have found a reasonably priced 2disc edition :oohyeah:, since it was the 3rd time I tried to buy it - I ended up receiving the single-disc amaray each previous time (which says 2DVD on the back, but the whole thing looks like a cheap bootleg (MVCI just copied both the cover and disc of the Lee's Vision edition, which wasn't the best quality to start with)).
But taking a closer look at this edition, it seems to me I might have ended up with a re-release: the digipak has no slipcase; there's no rating on the cover/packaging; even though there's a holder for a booklet, but no booklet and the technical specs as well as the ITAN are on a sticker, that's above another sticker ... :|
If anybody does have any information about a different (looking) 2Disc release, please let me know. Otherwise let's all hope for a decent remastered re-release of this classic!

I've just found out, that this edition is indeed a re-release. There was initially a slipcase (with the same cover as the 1-Disc edition), still not sure about the booklet, though. :|
I hate receiving editions where something (slipcase/postcards/booklets etc) is missing, because eventually I'll try to look for complete ones. :arguing:

@all: If you're looking for certain editions/films, why don't you make a 'Wanted thread' in the Trading Post, or post them in this thread :?

Now I'll have to check that everything is complete and in good shape. I'll try to take individual pics asap.
edit: everything complete (though again no luck at "Random Events"). Don't ask me, why 'Doremifasolasido' is upside down  (and 'Mr. Hong' isn't aligned properly) - I'm usually extremely orderly about those things - I guess I got a little excited

... and suddenly my "ordered"-list is down to ~5 again. ;) - I'm trying to make a deal for the next big one, though. :norty: I really need a job to pay for all these

edit: and they've also announced the full Berlinale programme (and ticket prices) today ... I'll probably be broke before the month has even started. :hammer:
